Meet The Team

Holly Norman
Chair & Founder
Hi, I’m Holly — a wife, mom, and certified developmental specialist with a heart for kids and a passion for missions. The Playfully Planted Foundation was born after a mission trip to Ecuador that changed everything for me. While serving in one of our Hope Zones, I saw firsthand how many children had no toys — and how something as simple as a small gift could light up their world.
With my background in child development, I know how essential play is for a child’s growth, learning, and emotional well-being. But more than that, I felt God calling me to use that knowledge to make a difference — to bring joy, hope, and the love of Jesus to children who need to know they are seen and never forgotten.
Through this foundation, I’m combining my love for kids, my calling to serve, and my faith in what God can do — one toy, one child, one seed at a time.

Cheryl Ross
Co-Chair
Hi! I’m Cheryl Ross — a pastor and a momma of three with a heart for missions. Knowing firsthand what childhood is like for those impacted by hardship, I have a deep commitment to helping kids truly be kids and creating opportunities for joy and growth.
Having spent years working with children and serving on mission trips to countries like Ecuador, I’ve witnessed how life’s challenges often weigh heaviest on kids—especially in communities with limited resources. My experiences have only deepened my resolve to restore space for play, knowing that free, unstructured play fosters not only motor skills, but also emotional resilience, social connection, and creativity.
Growing up without many chances to just be a kid myself, I'm determined to change that story for others. My hope is simple: to help kids reclaim the joy of childhood—one toy, one laugh, and one moment of play at a time.

Jessica Beha
Secretary
Hi, I’m Jessica Beha. I have a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Social Work, as well as a master’s in Social Work. I currently serve as the Children’s Pastor at my church, where I’m passionate about helping kids experience the love of Jesus in real and meaningful ways.
I’ve had the opportunity to travel to Ecuador twice, and those trips have deeply impacted me. I’ll never forget a little boy who brought me a broken game controller—he’d press the buttons like it worked, then set it down again. It was such a powerful reminder that the need for play, connection, and love is universal. And even small gestures—especially with kids—can speak volumes.
My desire is to continue sharing hope, building relationships, and creating spaces where every child feels seen, valued, and loved
